Sarah Squires has been appointed specialist advisor to the House of Lords Economic Affairs Finance Bill Sub-Committee on its current inquiry on the draft Finance Bill 2019-2020. The inquiry, which was launched earlier this month, will focus on the Government’s proposal to extend the off-payroll working rules – which were introduced for the public sector in 2017 – to large and medium-sized organisations in the private sector from April 2020. A call for evidence was published by the Sub-Committee on 5 February 2020.
