Harriet and Rebecca recently represented the Appellant before the UT in Coconut Animated Island Limited v HMRC – one of the only cases on the SEIS. Due to the small amounts of tax at stake Harriet and Rebecca acted pro bono; the case, however, covers a number of interesting points for the larger Enterprise Investment Scheme and more broadly, whether it is possible for an exterior purpose to break the “connection” of arrangements.
