The second of the Tax Chambers seminars on “Tax Litigation for Accountants” takes place on 7 June 2011 at 4.30 pm in the Old Court Room in Lincoln’s Inn.
The seminar will cover all aspects of tax litigation, with a specific focus on how accountants can best provide litigation services to their clients. Topics covered will include the procedure, from progressing to litigation by obtaining a closure notice to making an appeal from the decision of the Tribunal and also advice on the best way to deal with HMRC at each stage in the process. There will be particular emphasis on evidential issues, which is where many appeals fall down, even where a good technical argument exists.
