4.20 – 4.55 – Stephen Brandon QC on Living with the GAAR – How does one decide if it applies? – Is it a self-assessed tax? – How does it impact upon tax planning?
4.55 – 5.30 – Setu Kamal on Inheritance Tax Update – An overview of the legislative and case law developments relating to inheritance tax
5.30 – 6.05 – Amanda Hardy on The Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings – The scope of the tax – the related capital gains tax charge – practical issues with the tax and how to cope with them
6.05 – 6.15 – Question to the speakers followed by drinks
Drinks will be hosted immediately after the seminar at which you will have an opportunity to meet the members of Tax Chambers, 15 Old Square.
The seminar is free of charge and two hours of CPD points have been applied for from the BSB and SRA.
