Old Square Tax Chambers are hosting an afternoon seminar on 4 May 2016 where Amanda Hardy, Q.C., Patrick Cannon and Oliver Marre will be speaking on Current Developments in Tax.
Please note that this seminar is being held in Leeds at the Thomas Ambler Room, Leeds Marriott Hotel, 4 Trevelyan Square Boar Lane, Leeds LS1 6ET.
The seminar is to be held from 4.00 pm to 6.15 pm with the timetable as follows.
4.00 – 4.15 Tea & Coffee
4.15 – 4.55 Patrick Cannon will be discussing Tax Restrictions on Lettings Businesses in which he will cover the buy to let interest restriction, the 3% SDLT supplemental rate and approaches to dealing with these issues
4.55 – 6.00 Amanda Hardy, Q.C. and Oliver Marre will be presenting a joint talk giving a Private Client Update in which they will cover a range of topics including: tax efficient will drafting in 2016; planning for the family home; the new Residence Nil Rate Band, how it works and how to maximize the benefit; varying wills and settlements; and the application of the DOTAS (disclosure of tax avoidance schemes) regime to inheritance tax
6.00 – 6.15 Question to the speakers followed by drinks
Drinks will be hosted immediately after the seminar at which you will have an opportunity to meet members of Old Square Tax Chambers.
The seminar is free of charge and two hours of CPD points can be claimed from the BSB and SRA.
